Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Resume Copilot. The binding contract language is German; this English version is provided for convenience.

Scope and provider

These Terms apply to all contracts between Gendron Himmels AI Innovations GbR, Bürgerstraße 1, 22081 Hamburg (the “Provider”, “we”), and consumers (§13 German Civil Code) and businesses (§14 German Civil Code) regarding use of the Resume Copilot service. Differing terms of the customer do not become part of the contract unless we expressly agree to them.

The service

Resume Copilot is a web-based service that tailors uploaded CV content to a job advertisement you enter, using generative AI, and produces a matching cover letter. Results can be edited live before sign-up and saved and exported as PDF after sign-up. A limited quota is free; further tailorings and exports are paid and unlocked via one-off purchased credits. The service is a software and text-generation service; no particular application success is owed. You remain the author and owner of the content you upload and any output you accept.

Accounts

You may use the service anonymously for a limited trial. To save, export, or continue your work, you create an account with an email address and password. Keep your credentials confidential.

Formation of contract

The display of credit packs is not a binding offer but an invitation to make an offer. By completing the checkout you make a binding offer to purchase the selected credit pack. The contract is formed when we confirm receipt of payment or credit the credits to your account. The invoice is provided through our payment processor and available in your account.

Prices and payment

All prices are final prices in euros. As a small business under §19 of the German VAT Act (Kleinunternehmer), we do not show VAT separately and do not charge VAT. The purchase price is due in full immediately upon conclusion of the contract and is collected through our payment processor Stripe.

Credits

Purchased credits are valid indefinitely and do not expire. There is no claim to a cash payout of unused credits outside the statutory right of withdrawal. If a tailoring fails for reasons within our responsibility, no credit is charged, or a charged credit is refunded to your balance.

Acceptable use

Do not upload content you do not have rights to, do not attempt to reverse-engineer the service, and do not use the service to generate or send misleading or fraudulent applications.

AI-generated content

Tailored CVs and cover letters are generated with the assistance of large language models and may contain factual errors. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming every output before you submit it to a third party.

Right of withdrawal for consumers

Right of withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Gendron Himmels AI Innovations GbR, Bürgerstraße 1, 22081 Hamburg, email: team@resumecopilot.de) by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired. Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notice of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction; in no event will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.

Early expiry of the right of withdrawal

For a contract for the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium, or a digital service, your right of withdrawal expires once we have begun performance after you (i) expressly consented to us beginning performance before the withdrawal period expires, and (ii) confirmed your awareness that by giving this consent you lose your right of withdrawal upon commencement of performance (§356(5) German Civil Code). Until you give this consent, we do not begin performance and your right of withdrawal remains for the full withdrawal period.

Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage arising from injury to life, body, or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely; in that case liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected. Any further liability is excluded.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account page. We may suspend access for material breach of these terms.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law, the exclusive place of jurisdiction is our registered seat.

Dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. The former EU Commission online dispute resolution platform has not been operated since 20 July 2025.
